Es war einmal vor langer Zeit... 

Eigentlich erschreckend, dass ich die Besprechung der folgenden Miniatur mit diesen Worten beginnen kann. Aber inzwischen sind tatsächlich Jahrzehnte (!) vergangen.

Die unten abgebildete Figur wurde nicht von mir gebaut oder bemalt, sondern stammt von Markus Reusch, dem Chapterführer des Kurita-Chapters OTOMO.

Dieses Chapter gehörte zur Zeiten der ersten Mechforce Germany und des Nice Dice zu den erfolgreichsten des Draconis-Kombinats.

Neben zahlreichen Chapterfights war die OTOMO auch auf vielen Cons präsent und bildete mit den 5th Sword of Light, 17th Benjamin Regulars und den 8th Galedon Regulars die Elite der deutschen Kurita-Chapter.

Bemalt waren die OTOMO-Mechs in Dunkelblau, weil  im Stackpole-Roman "Blutiges Vermächtnis" die OTOMO-Mechs, welche erfolgreich auf Luthien die Clan-Invasion zurückschlugen, entsprechend beschrieben waren.

Erst die späteren Quellenbücher änderten die Farbgebung auf Schwarz.

Der Marauder wurde so umgebaut, dass er eine Szene darstellt, in der der schwere Kampfmech einen einzelnen Elementar wegtritt. Die Wucht ist dabei so gewaltig, dass der unglückliche Claner in zwei Teile zerrissen wird und aus der oberen Körperhälfte die EIngeweide herausquellen.

Auf der Hexbase ist die untere Körperhälfte des Claners zu sehen.

Dieses Modell hat seit besagten Jahrzehnten einen Ehrenplatz in einer meiner Vitrinen.

It is a little bit scary that I can start the review of the following miniature with these  words. But it is also a fact that decades have passed since this miniature was created.

It was not created or painted by myself but by a friend of mine: Markus Reusch, the chapter-CO of the Kurita-Chapter OTOMO.

This chapter was one of the most successful units in the first Mechforce Germany and later in the Nice Dice-organisation.

The OTOMO not only fought many chapterfights but also was present on numerous conventions. With the 5th Sword of Light, the 17th Benjamin Regulars and the 8th Galedon Regulars it formed the elite of the german Kurita-chapters.

The OTOMO-Mechs were painted in dark blue because in the Stackpole-novel of the Kerensky-trilogy the OTOMO-Mechs defending Luthien were painted in this colour.

Later the sourcebooks described the colour of the OTOMO-Mechs as black. But as I mentioned: Not in these days long long time ago :)

The Marauder miniature was not only built in an excellent way (even with the antennas of the Marauder) but is also showing the last moments of an unlucke Elemental.

This Elemental was hit by the Marauders left foot and is ripped apart. The upper torso is still atached to the leg of the Mech and the entrails are spilling out of the dying Clan-warrior.

The lower part of the Elemental rests on the Hexbase.

I was more than happy and honored to get this minature as a present and it has been placed in one of my displays since then.
